  Design Idea - Mounting the Glovebox Door

Below is a picture on the glovebox mounting using a basic piano hinge.  The hinge is painted flat black with Rustoleam epoxy paint.

 

 

Tasks:

• Use a piano hinge which is screwed to the door.
• The piano hinge attaches to a block located in the glove box.
• Catch magnets are used at the top of the door on either both sides or at the top center.
• A wire cable is used from each post to hold the door open.
